Owned and operated by Richard Winter, Europa Engineering is the only business in the world dedicated to the classic Europa marque. December 2019- Richard's business has seen significant change this year after entering into a partnership with Lotus Supplies Ltd for the sale of Europa parts however he is still working on various technical projects and is available for further commissions as time allows. We are aware that some of the content of this website is many years old but to Europa owners it is still relevant and a valuable resource. Richard intends to put new content up when he eventually takes a break from his projects (might be a while!).
Although the classic Europa ceased production in the 1970 it is still very much alive in the form of the Banks Europa and over the last ten years over 400 cars have been supplied to owners around the world. The Bank's Europa was featured in the BBC TV’s “Top Gear” program and described as the British Supercar you have never heard off, view the video here.
All our part sales activity is now dealt with by Lotus Supplies Ltd. We still manufacture our own parts and in many cases we have improved the original designs by using contemporary materials and fabrication methods. We have improved body shells, fuel tanks, suspension hardware, and have designed a number of different powertrain options.
Located in the village of Banks near Southport we have a extensive workshop facilities including bodyshop, paintshop and fabrication, and can deal with any aspect of maintaining or restoring the Europa. We also provide race preparation services for the Europa and other historic racers.
Richard’s passion is racing and just about every weekend in the summer he can be found on the club circuits in the north of England. Richard runs “Team Gorilla” a racing team comprising of himself and his customers with a variety or Europa models. |
